We examined equity in achievement rates with respect to both ethnic minority and socioeconomic status. Equity among ethnic groups was the difference between ethnic minority students and their White American peers in the same school. Similarly, equity in socioeconomic status was the difference between students who were socioeconomically disadvantaged and those who were not. To identify gaps between students from specific ethnic minority backgrounds, we also present comparisons between specific ethnic minority subgroups against their White American counterparts in the boxes.

Green borders denote significantly better performance, red borders denote significantly worse performance, and gray borders denote similar performance.*
