Ken Sorey

Ken Sorey is the Executive Director of the National Laboratory for Education Transformation (www.NLET.org), a California-based nonprofit committed to transformational change in K-12 and workforce development. He recently served as Senior Executive Vice President of Educational Results Partnership for 17 years and also was the director of the CA system of data called Cal-PASS Plus.  He led statewide and national initiatives that provide actionable data to public schools, districts, colleges and universities leading to improved academic, college completion and workplace outcomes for students. Ken has 30 years of experience building business and education partnerships and in helping schools and colleges better use data to improve student outcomes and prepare the future workforce. 

 

Prior to his work in education, Ken provided marketing and market research consulting to numerous corporations, small businesses and non-profit organizations.  He currently serves on the board of directors of Hack the Hood, is the past president of the Montera Middle School PTO in Oakland and serves on the advisory board for Not In Our Town.  He is a transfer student from Foothill Community College, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from University of California, Berkeley and advanced training at the Culinary Institute of America.
